Froggie Footies
Care package exchange. Need: quick, inexpensive, lightweight project. Answer: Nola’s Slipper Pattern. Its easy to follow, very quick, and the result is super cozy slippers! My sister made a pair of these for me last Christmas, and I have used them all year. The yarn requirements are worsted weight yarn held doubled, or many people have substituted chunky yarn.
I used two skeins Lambs Pride worsted, and had just enough yarn, with a couple modifications. I knit the cuff to be 0.25 inches shorter than suggested (6 inches instead of 6.25 inches), and I skipped 2 rows in the foot section (4 ridges instead of 5 ridges). Since my friend Emily has little feet, I’m sure they’ll still fit.
I’m going to send this off today, along with a few other goodies. One more gift down….
